SHUTTER ISLAND and THE SOCIAL NETWORK definitely look interesting. I'd tend to agree with the "too many remakes" opinion, but I'm an aspiring screenwriter, so that pretty much goes without saying. :-)

Oh, please. I make mistakes all the time on my blog. A friend just pointed out that called Jude Law "Jude Watson" back on my Dec. 28 recap. So no worries about perfection here! ;-)

You know, M. Night Shyamalan is hit or miss for me. Obviously THE SIXTH SENSE was great. I liked SIGNS, hated THE VILLAGE, and thought LADY IN THE WATER was basically just mismarketed. I was meh about UNBREAKABLE, though that's probably one I could do with revisiting. I haven't bothered with the killer plant one. :-) So, maybe THE LAST AIRBENDER will be a nice return to form. A lot of people love what he did with the superhero concept in UNBREAKABLE, so you never know.

The Last Airbender. I was a huge fan of the TV series (which was actually called Avatar: The Last Airbender, but we can see why they changed the title, right?), and even though I know M. Night Shyamalan's gonna mess it up, I can't help myself. I will probably be attending with my little brother (10 years old, and the one who introduced me to the series), my husband, and about seven male friends who similarly obsessed.
