I like the instant message gimmick. It’s a good grounds for a dialogue-based story.
I had trouble with the opening. Are you sure that “What this time?” is supposed to belong to the blue speaker? Because Blue initiates the conversation about the world ending, then seems to ask White what the matter is, even though Blue is the one with the world-ending complaint. If Blue is supposed to have that line, then perhaps there should be more of a transition after “Again?”
You are correct! I was trying to jimmy this together last night with my eyes half-closing, & I thought before I went to bed that maybe I’d messed something up, but I was too tired to deal with it.
