Freelance Editing

If you need someone with a sharp set of eyes to look over your work before submitting it to Very Important People, I’m your girl.  I graduated in 2004 with a degree in journalism.  During my college career, I specialized in copyediting, and I continue to use those skills today for my clients.

I offer services at different levels to suit every client’s needs, from basic proofreading to full-on coaching.  I work in a variety of media, including national publications, fiction, screenplays, academic essays and personal memoirs.  I can adapt to any style guide requested by the client.

If you’re interested in my services, feel free to contact me at izzi [dot] ditty [at] gmail [dot] com, or via the form below.  My rates are dependent on the size of the project, the type of edits needed, and the timeline requested for completion.  I am also often willing to trade services.

TESTIMONIALS

“Elizabeth has acted as Freelance Copy Editor for Sharing the Victory Magazine, the national publication of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, with a circulation of over 80,000. She was able to improve the copy/style of the issues and turned around 40 pages in tight deadlines. Rest easy when your project is given to Elizabeth. Her experience and driven personality shines in her work.”

— Danny Burns, Manager of Online Ministry for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes

“As a graduate student, my professors expect my papers to be of publishable quality. One key aspect of obtaining this expectation is the editing process. Every good writer has a good editor. I started using Elizabeth’s editing service for my last two classes, and my papers have never looked as good as they did when she was finished. The service is well worth it.”

— Rick Chamness, ESL teacher in Taiwan
